An update on finishing my undergraduate degree in May 2024 and my future plans.

A (long awaited) update
It’s been a while since I’ve made a blog post. I’ve been quite busy preparing for post-graduation, but I’m back and ready to provide an update!
B.S. in Computer Science
In May 2024, I officially received my B.S. in Computer Science with Summa Cum Laude honors for earning a 3.951 cumulative GPA and a 4.0 major GPA.

Special Thanks
I would like to thank all of my professors and friends that helped guide me throughout my 4 years in undergrad. I personally want to thank Professor Juan Leon, Dr. Bin Tang, and Dr. Alireza Izaddoost for providing me great opportunities to learn and grow within my academic and professional journey. These faculty members from California State University, Dominguez Hills provided me with mentorship, work/research experience, and knowledge that helped me advance through my career path.
I would also like to personally thank Angel J. Haro, Jairo Mendoza, and my other friends that helped me through the many long nights I spent working on my course assignments and studying to finish undergrad. You all helped make the journey enjoyable and I didn’t feel alone when tackling what undergrad threw at me.
I am also grateful for the Google Tech Exchange program for providing me with an enriching curriculum to learn about data structures, algorithms, and how to work in an industrial position. The program also taught me the fundamentals of Machine Learning, which will be very useful as I continue in my career path.
Last, but not least, I would also like to thank my family for their love and support. Without them, I would have not been able to pursue my Bachelor’s.
Future Plans
Blog Posts
I plan to continue making software engineering blogs posts, as well as research blog posts. I’ve enjoyed writing these for you all, and I hope they have been helpful. (As always, feel free to Contact me if you have a blog post idea that you would like to see next!)
Ph.D. in Computer Science
In Fall 2024, I will be starting a Computer Science Ph.D. program at University of California, Riverside with my faculty advisor Dr. Zizhong (Jeffrey) Chen.
I would like to thank the Cal-Bridge program for providing me help with my grad school applications and for preparing me with informative workshops to be successful during my Ph.D. journey.
I look forward to embarking my new journey after undergrad, and I am excited to help contribute to Computer Science Research and Development.
Thanks!
Thank you everyone for your support and for tuning in. I hope to see you all in the next blog post!
